About the Founder
Jessica Joy Reveles is the founder and CMO of J Squared Communications, bringing over 15 years of marketing and communications experience with an emphasis on content development, SEO, sales and public relations. She founded J Squared Communications while working 3 part-time jobs and living in a homeless shelter with her then 7-year-old son.
Over her career, Jessica has worked with global brands including the Magic Johnson Foundation, FAB NY, Joe’s Jeans, Life After Denim, Macadamia Professional, Little Giraffe, Santa Monica College, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), General Assembly, Book Fuel and more. As a microinfluencer in her field, Jessica has also partnered with Yelp, Starbucks, T-Mobile, Constant Contact, the City of Los Angeles (Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Small Business Summit), the City of Glendale (Glendale Tech Week), Pepperdine University and other major brands and organizations.
Degrees in English/creative writing and adult education and training, coupled with a comprehensive background in content marketing, have led Jessica to hold senior writer/editor, content marketing, and instructional design roles. Jessica brings creativity, innovation, and sharp research and analytical skills to every project she directs.
With a passion for adult education and instructional design, Jessica develops and implements curricula covering topics such as entrepreneurship, personal branding, blogging, storytelling, social media, and more. She has taught workshops and classes and given talks in each of these areas at higher education institutions such as Cal State University Fullerton (CSUF), Cal State University Northridge (CSUN), Santa Monica College (SMC), FIDM, and the Art Institutes as well as for organizations such as General Assembly and the Valley Economic Development Center’s (VEDC) satellite Los Angeles Business Source Centers in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Jessica is deeply involved with organizations that provide professional development and career advancement opportunities for women. She serves as the Managing Director for eWomenNetwork’s Los Angeles Chapter, where she brings women entrepreneurs together for professional development, networking, and charitable giving.
In 2018 Jessica graduated from The Valley Economic Alliance’s Business Accelerator program for women, sponsored by Comerica Bank and powered by Next Level 90’s business curriculum and coaching. She went on to win the Woman of Promise award from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Apart from her work and accolades, Jessica is dedicated to making an impact in her community. She mentors young women entrepreneurs and uses her seat on the advisory board for the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission to advocate for the mentally ill as well as for families experiencing homelessness.
